When watercoloring, I always make the mistake of painting the darkest colors first, and then am forced to gingerly paint around them without letting them bleed into the lighter colors I add. I need to develop better painting habits!
EDIT: Many, many times I’ve mentioned on this blog that Kay Nielsen is one of my biggest inspirations. This piece, frankly, is oozing his influence.
